Maths Mastery
Clifton Hill is currently following the Maths Mastery ARC Programme for those students following a formal or semi-formal curriculum pathway. This approach has three key principles at its core: deep understanding, mathematical thinking and mathematical language.
Our vision is for children to think mathematically, demonstrate and deepen their conceptual understanding and problem solve in order to widen every student’s mathematical world.

In order to develop and enhance the teaching of Mathematics within Clifton Hill School we work collaboratively with NCETM via their regional hub –North-East Hants and Surrey Maths Hub. This resource provides professional development, materials, guidance and National Curriculum resources for use in the classroom, resources and guides on how to teach for mastery and access to fellow Maths professionals via the regional hub. https://www.ncetm.org.uk/
